- Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence.
ALLFRIDAYS of Lent are days of abstinence.
- The obligation to abstain from meat (abstinence) binds Catholics 14 years of age and older. The obligation to Fast (one full meal and two smaller meals per day) binds Catholics from 18-59.
Catholics are not to lightly excuse themselves from the above prescribed Penitential practices. People who are sick or under a Doctor’s care are not bound by Lenten Regulations.
DAILY LENTEN MASS SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. in the Gathering Area.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS: Fridays during Lent – 4:00 p.m.
Walk the way of the cross with Jesus: Enter into Jesus’ suffering and death with a scripture reading and prayer at each station.
RECONCILIATION: Individual – Saturdays 4:00 – 4:45 p.m.
Communal Prayer Service – Thursday, March 26, 2015, 6:30 p.m. with individual confession following (multiple confessors available.)
RICE BOWLS: A St. Thomas More Parish tradition – will be available in the Gathering Area for all parish families. We encourage you to have a “sacrificial meal” and put the money you would have spent on a more elaborate meal in the Rice Bowl. The money will be donated to the poor.
