Welcome to St. Thomas More Faith Formation

Here are some specifics about our Faith Formation program. We have programs that involve all ages. We hope we can be of service in one or more of our distinct areas.

Child Ministry Includes:


  • Sunday Morning PS/K:


  • Classes are open to children who are 3, 4, & 5 years old by September 1st
  • Two classes available: Pre 3/4 or Kindergarten
  • Classes are during 10:00 Mass on Sunday mornings


  • Monthly Sunday Family Program:


  • This program is open to all families with children in grades 1-5

  • Class takes the place of the Wednesday evening class for grades 1-5

  • Parent(s) must attend with their child/ren

  • Sessions are a mix of presentations & hands-on learning

  • Between monthly sessions, materials are given to the parents to be completed with their children to fulfill the required curriculum


  • Wednesday Evening Classes (grades 1-5):


  • Classes meet from 6:15-7:30 on Wednesday evenings with several breaks during the school year
  • Students meet with a trained volunteer catechist


  • First Reconciliation and First Eucharist are celebrated during 2nd grade and anytime after

  • Reconciliation preparation begins with first grade and is celebrated in the fall of 2nd gare, BEFORE First Eucharist
  • First Eucharist is celebrated in the sprint time of 2nd grade

Youth Ministry Includes:


  • Wednesday Evening Classes (grades 6-10):


  • Classes meet from 6:15-7:30 on Wednesday evenings during the school year

  • 11th grade is held one week in the summer 
  • Students meet with a trained catechist


  • High School students (except Confirmation students) choose from several retreat options

  • Parish Service & Community Service are required for grades 7-high school


  • Youth Ministry Offerings:


  • CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) basketball league for high school youth

  • Annual Summer Mission Trips for high school youth

  • Faith Factor—annual summer service event held locally for students in grades 6-11

Young Adult Ministry Includes:


  • Confirmation Program (grade 11 or 12):


  • Spring meeting & interviews are held for the upcoming year

  • Sponsor sessions & other requirements are completed in the summer

  • Monthly Sunday morning sessions begin in September

  • Public school youth choosing to be Confirmed their junior year can “double up” & take both the 11th grade class as well as the Confirmation classes (A summer 11th grade session is available for these students)


  • Young Adult Ministry offerings (ages 18-39):


  • Outreach to college students

  • Small group ministry offerings

  • Weekly Mom’s Group (parents visit while children play)

  • Promotion of diocesan young adult events

  • Monthly date nights for married and engaged couples

Adult Ministry Includes:


  • Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) - A process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant baptism

  • Alpha - Explore life and faith in a friendly environment

  • Christ Renews His Parish - Adult retreat experience

  • Bible Studies - Offered at a variety of dates & times

  • Living Your Strengths - Discover your God-given talents & inspire your community
