Worship & Spiritual Life
“Nourishing our community in prayer, Eucharistic celebration, spirituality and environment”
The life of the Holy Spirit, dwelling in our souls enables us to praise and love God and to serve him. Worship is the way to express our relationship with God through public and private prayer. Spiritual Life is nurturing the Spirit within us and our personal relationship with God by making time for prayer, meditation, learning and enrichment.
The celebration of the liturgy is central to the life of our community. We are strengthened and nourished by the Eucharist. We strive to create a prayerful environment and spirit-enriched experience at our liturgies. We encourage all parish members, as missionary disciples of Jesus, to take an active role in all liturgical celebrations. As we gather together as a community in prayer, we also encourage individuals to grow through personal prayer. It is through our individual prayer lives that we engage in conversation with God expressing our gratitude for his many blessings and to deepen our personal relationship with him. Reflecting on the daily Scripture Readings; spiritual reading; participating in devotions such as Stations of the Cross during Lent and praying the Rosary; and attending Holy Hour, daily Mass and faith formation opportunities are some of the many ways we can nurture our spiritual life.
“Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
~1 Thess 5:16-18
